About the Role

The Learning and Development Manager will support, develop, and inspire Care Professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

The role is based with Home Instead Brighton, Hove and Shoreham and supports both Care Professionals and office staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate training programmes.
  • Deliver induction training for new Care Professionals.
  • Conduct competency assessments and provide ongoing support.
  • Deliver refresher training and development programmes.
  • Identify training needs and support personal development plans.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and address learning gaps.
  • Maintain training records and compliance through the LMS.
  • Ensure training reflects current legislation and best practice.
  • Support Care Professionals and office staff development.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Act as part of the wider office support team.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience planning and delivering training.
  • Strong understanding of health and social care.
  • Experience preparing and delivering training programmes.
  • Experience with learning management systems.
  • Relevant and up-to-date training qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop others.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Proven teamwork experience.

Work Location

  • Home Instead Brighton, Hove and Shoreham is based in Hove near The Lagoon.

Salary

  • Salary starts at £28,000 per annum FTE and depends on experience.

Working Hours

  • A minimum of 30 hours per week is required.
  • The role is described as full time.

The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
