Home Instead Doncaster is seeking a Polish- and English-speaking Care Assistant to support a client with a brain injury.
The role is based in the client's home in Doncaster and focuses on person-centred non-medical care and companionship.
Schedule and availability
- This is a part-time role of up to 16 hours per week initially, with variable start and finish times.
- Typical shifts are 8:00–14:30 and 16:00–21:00.
- Alternate weekend availability is essential, with some flexibility needed for client continuity.
- Each care visit is a minimum of one hour.
Pay and compensation
- Pay is £13 per hour on weekdays and £14 per hour on weekends.
- Bank holidays are paid at double time.
- Mileage between clients is reimbursed at 30p per mile.
- Guaranteed hours may be available after successful probation.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship, personal care, medication prompts and meal preparation.
- Complete light household tasks and support appointments, shopping and social activities.
- Help the client maintain stability, dignity and meaningful social connection.
