- Lead a team of 3 utility technology specialists, providing technical direction, workload management, quality assurance, and career development
- Administer and technically configure IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS)
- Administer TAQA's Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environment
- Administer and configure TAQA's ServiceMax field force management platform
- Develop and maintain integrations between IBM Maximo, ArcGIS, and ServiceMax
- Continuously monitor and optimise the performance of TAQA's utility operations platforms
- Evaluate and adopt AI powered and automation capabilities within TAQA's utility platform environment
- Develop and deliver specialised technical training programmes for TAQA's utility technology team and operational platform users
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- 6 years of relevant working experience
- Experience with IBM Maximo/MAS administration and customisation
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise administration and spatial data management
- Experience with ServiceMax field force management platform administration
- Experience leading a technical team

- This role leads a team of 3 technical specialists and works in close partnership with the Manager, Platform Operations and TAQA's operations, engineering, and field service teams.
Utility Operations Platform Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Act as TAQA Distribution's technical authority for utility operations platforms — IBM Maximo/MAS, Esri ArcGIS, and ServiceMax — owning the technical configuration standards, development governance, and platform improvement roadmap.
- Contribute to the technical platform roadmap in partnership with the Manager, Platform Operations — assessing IBM MAS cloud migration opportunities on Azure, Esri ArcGIS platform modernisation options, and ServiceMax capability expansions.
- Lead a team of 3 utility technology specialists — providing technical direction, workload management, quality assurance of technical outputs, and career development.
IBM Maximo / MAS — Technical Administration & Customisation
- Administer and technically configure IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS) — including application designer customisations, database configuration (DB2 or Oracle DB), workflow designer, escalation configuration, cron task management, Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) adapter setup, automation
- Lead technical customisation and development within IBM Maximo/MAS — designing and implementing bespoke application extensions, custom automation scripts, specialised workflow configurations, and tailored reporting solutions.
- Govern IBM Maximo data integrity and master data quality — including asset master, location hierarchy, job plan and PM records, spare parts catalogue, and work order data.
- Lead IBM Maximo/MAS upgrade, patch, and migration projects — managing technical impact assessments, environment preparation, customisation migration, regression testing, and production deployment.
Esri ArcGIS — Technical Administration & Spatial Data Management
- Administer TAQA's Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environment — including ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, SQL Server or Oracle geodatabase administration, feature layer and map service management, ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123 configuration, and user and licence management.
- Manage ArcGIS network dataset and utility network data quality — including network topology validation, asset geometry management, connectivity rule maintenance, and GIS data import from field surveys and as built documentation.
- Develop and maintain ArcGIS integrations with IBM Maximo — ensuring asset location data, spatial work order information, and network topology changes are synchronised accurately between the GIS and EAM platforms.
ServiceMax — Field Force Management Technical Administration
- Administer and configure TAQA's ServiceMax field force management platform — including work order management configuration, intelligent scheduling and dispatch rule setup, resource management and skills assignment, mobile field engineer app configuration, customer notification workflow design, servi
- Develop and maintain ServiceMax integrations with IBM Maximo — governing work order data exchange, asset information synchronisation, and completion data feedback loops.
Platform Performance Optimisation & Continuous Improvement
- Continuously monitor and optimise the performance of TAQA's utility operations platforms — including IBM Maximo database and application performance tuning, ArcGIS map service and geodatabase performance management, and ServiceMax scheduling engine performance.
- Evaluate and adopt AI powered and automation capabilities within TAQA's utility platform environment — including IBM Maximo Monitor for IoT asset health monitoring, Maximo Predict for AI based failure prediction, ArcGIS spatial analytics automation, and ServiceMax AI powered intelligent scheduling.
- Develop and deliver specialised technical training programmes for TAQA's utility technology team and operational platform users — covering IBM Maximo/MAS, ArcGIS, and ServiceMax.
