Role Overview
EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to develop, enhance, and maintain code while building backend microservices and REST APIs for impactful projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain code.
- Build backend microservices and REST APIs.
- Conduct unit testing.
- Perform code reviews.
- Follow best practices including code review, unit testing, and continuous integration.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Have 8 to 12 years of development work experience.
- Have hands-on experience with Java, the Spring Framework, and Kafka.
- Be proficient in REST APIs, microservices architecture, and WebLogic.
Nice to Have
- A master's degree in computer science is nice to have.
- A background in financial services, particularly wealth management, is nice to have.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages is nice to have.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies is nice to have.
