Core Technology Stack
- Flowable BPM with BPMN 2.0, CMMN, and DMN.
- Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, REST/OpenAPI, and Kafka Events.
- Process testing, GitHub Actions, Maven or Gradle, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Banking PII handling, OAuth2/OIDC, and agentic development.
Qualifications and Experience
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on Flowable experience, or Activiti or Camunda experience with willingness to migrate to Flowable.
- Proven production delivery of end-to-end BPM solutions, including embedding, deploying, and operating process engines at scale.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot development capability for implementing delegates, REST clients, and tests independently.
- Regulated financial-services experience is strongly preferred.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Offshore development center or distributed engineering experience is advantageous.
- OMG BPMN or Flowable training certification is a plus.
Nice to Have
Experience with Flowable Work and Flowable Engage.
Exposure to ML inference or LLM-based agents as BPMN service tasks.
Knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX messaging standards for trade finance and correspondent banking.
Familiarity with the CBUAE Open Banking API framework and related compliance workflows.
Experience with event sourcing for process-state reconstruction and audit.
Experience with UiPath or Automation Anywhere for legacy-system integration.
Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end BPM solutions in production.
- Embed, deploy, and operate process engines at scale.
- Implement BPM delegates, REST clients, and automated tests using Java and Spring Boot.
- Apply BPMN, CMMN, and DMN to process automation solutions.
- Support process integration with REST/OpenAPI, Kafka, authentication, monitoring, and deployment tooling.
