Core Technical Requirements
- Expert-level Kotlin and Java proficiency is required.
- Strong proficiency with Android Studio, Gradle, Android SDK, and Google Play Services is required.
- Extensive experience building native Android applications from scratch is required.
- Strong understanding of the Android lifecycle, components, and performance optimization is required.
Architecture and UI
- Implement Clean Architecture and MVVM, MVP, or MVI patterns.
- Use Jetpack Compose to build responsive, pixel-perfect declarative interfaces.
- Apply Material Design guidelines, custom composables, reusable components, theming, and Compose Navigation.
- Implement UI animations using Compose Animations, MotionLayout, Lottie, and Material Motion principles.
Libraries and Data
- Use Retrofit2, Dagger/Hilt, Coroutines, and Flow with dependency injection and reactive programming.
- Work with SQLite, Room Database, DataStore, secure local storage, offline-first architecture, and data synchronization.
Testing and Security
- Write unit, integration, and UI tests using JUnit, Mockito, Espresso, and Compose Testing frameworks.
- Apply mobile security practices including SSL pinning, OAuth 2.0, encrypted local storage, certificate management, and secure API communication.
CI/CD and Automation
- Use Jenkins, GitHub Actions, pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.
- Apply build automation, release management, and continuous integration practices.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in banking, financial services, payment systems, or secure transaction platforms is preferred.
- Experience with Banking APIs and Open Banking standards is preferred.
- Five or more years of software engineering experience in Agile or Scrum environments is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with Product Owners, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and cross-functional teams is preferred.
Role Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable, maintainable, and testable native Android applications.
- Develop modern Android user interfaces and supporting data, testing, security, and deployment capabilities.
- Collaborate with product, design, quality assurance, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
