About the Role
Doha Petroleum Construction Co. seeks a Lead Planning Engineer for EPC Oil & Gas offshore projects in Doha. You will develop integrated schedules using Primavera P6, monitor progress, and coordinate across engineering, procurement, and offshore installation phases.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Prepare detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project baselines, milestones, and resource loaded schedules
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule deviations, and implement recovery plans to achieve project milestones
- Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, pre commissioning, commissioning, and handover phases
- Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, schedule optimization, and resource planning
- Generate weekly and monthly planning reports, S curves, manpower histograms, cash flow forecasts, and earned value analysis
- Support project management by providing schedule risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, clients, and vendors to ensure schedule alignment
- Support offshore execution activities including installation campaigns, heavy lifting, marine operations, hook up, shutdown planning, and commissioning
- Monitor project KPIs and ensure compliance with contractual schedule requirements
- Participate in progress review meetings with clients and management, presenting planning status and corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to company planning procedures, project controls standards, and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years of planning and project controls experience in EPC/Oil & Gas projects
- Minimum 5 years of proven offshore project experience
- Hands on experience in offshore platform, barge, and Christmas Tree installation projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or equivalent)
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of WBS, CPM, resource loading, and schedule optimization
- Extensive knowledge of project controls, progress measurement systems, EVM, cash flow forecasting, and S curve analysis
- Excellent understanding of offshore construction methodologies, marine operations, heavy lifting, and commissioning
- PMP and/or PMI SP certification is preferred

- Experience in major EPC projects, fabrication, offshore installation, hook up, commissioning, and project close out.
Skills & Knowledge
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Critical Path Method (CPM), resource loading, and schedule optimization.
- Extensive knowledge of project controls, progress measurement systems, earned value management (EVM), cash flow forecasting, and S curve analysis.
- Strong experience in integrated schedule development and project progress monitoring.
- Excellent understanding of offshore construction methodologies, marine operations, heavy lifting, offshore platform installation, barge operations, hook up, commissioning, and shutdown planning.
- Familiarity with offshore platform operations, SIMOPS, HSE requirements, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and project risk management.
- Experience working in offshore, installation campaigns, and EPC execution environments.
- Excellent analytical, coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with international EPC standards and offshore project execution practices.
- Ability to lead planning teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced project environment.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or equivalent).
- PMP and/or PMI SP certification is preferred.
