Role Overview
Lead the strategy, scale, and compliance of the UPI payment ecosystem.
The role covers ecosystem partnerships, product roadmap ownership, and market-leading digital payment experiences.
The position is based in Kalina, Mumbai and requires in-person work.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for Core UPI, UPI Lite, Autopay, Credit Line on UPI, and international expansions.
- Drive partnerships with NPCI, the RBI, and tier-1 sponsor banks.
- Collaborate with technology, risk, legal, and banking partners on feature delivery and cost optimization.
- Prepare business requirement documentation and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Track system health, fraud metrics, and post-launch adoption.
- Drive system upgrades and dispute-resolution mechanics.
- Benchmark global fintech trends and improve the digital payments experience.
Key Requirements
- 14–15 years of experience in BFSI or fintech as a product or operations leader.
- Prior experience in the UPI ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of IMPS, PSP models, TPAP frameworks, switch infrastructure, and clearing and settlement cycles.
- Experience managing high-volume payment infrastructure and leading cross-functional engineering and product delivery teams.
