- Mentor and supervise junior auditors and environmental specialists
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, environmental compliance specialist)
- 8+ years in environmental compliance, auditing, or sustainability
- 3+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity
- Experience with environmental management systems and regulatory frameworks

Core Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate environmental projects from start to finish

- Ensure adherence to the national and applicable international environmental laws and regulations
- Support development of E HSR technical documents
Audit & Compliance Leadership
- Lead and conduct environmental management system (EMS) audits to ISO 14001 standards
- Develop and execute audit plans, checklists, and protocols
- Assess client compliance with environmental regulations (EPA, local, regional, international)
- Identify non conformities and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings and risk assessments.
Client Management & Engagement
- Serve as primary contact for assigned client accounts
- Conduct kick off meetings and scope definition with clients
- Present audit findings and recommendations to senior client leadership
- Build and maintain long term client relationships
- Address client concerns and manage expectations throughout engagement lifecycle.
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and supervise junior auditors and environmental specialists
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance on team audits
- Conduct training sessions on environmental standards and best practices
- Evaluate team performance and support professional development
- Ensure consistent quality across all audits and deliverables.
Technical Expertise & Standards
- Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and ISO standards
- Provide expert consultation on environmental compliance strategies
- Develop customized solutions for complex environmental challenges
- Conduct specialized assessments (waste management, emissions, water quality, etc.)
- Support certification and recertification processes.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Review audit reports and deliverables for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain detailed documentation of all audit activities
- Ensure adherence to Bureau Veritas quality standards and procedures
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage audit scheduling, resource allocation, and project timelines.
Sustainability & Strategic Consulting
- Advise clients on sustainability initiatives and environmental risk mitigation
- Develop environmental management strategies aligned with business objectives
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and life cycle analyses
- Support clients in achieving environmental certifications and recognitions
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost savings.
Regulatory & Industry Knowledge
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation and standards
- Provide regulatory guidance to clients across multiple jurisdictions
- Contribute to Bureau Veritas thought leadership and industry initiatives
- Participate in professional organizations and standards development
- Support proposal development for new client engagements
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare clear, actionable audit reports and executive summaries
- Create presentations for client stakeholder meetings
- Document best practices and lessons learned
- Communicate findings to internal teams and management
- Maintain accurate records in BV systems and databases.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, environmental compliance specialist)
- Relevant industry specific credentials
