Position Details

  • Job Title: Quality Leader
  • Location: Jeddah, South Jeddah, Minerals Laboratory
  • Reporting to: Laboratory Manager

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Specialty: Chemistry / Science / Geochem
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: 10 years of relevant experience
  • Technical Knowledge: Regulatory Analysis / ISO Standards Application / Instrumentation / Laboratory Techniques

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

  • Lead implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the laboratory’s QMS in line with ISO/IEC 17025
  • Lead and oversee QA/QC processes to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance
  • Ensure consistent application of SOPs and quality protocols
  • Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is up to date and correctly filed

Laboratory Systems & LIMS

  • Drive continuous improvement and effective utilization of LIMS
  • Ensure proper data entry, validation, and control within LIMS
  • Support system enhancements and standardization

Quality Performance Monitoring

  • Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of non conformances
  • Monitor laboratory quality performance through QC data and PT/RR data
  • Analyze quality data and provide actionable insights
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of quality issues

Technical Oversight & Data Validation

  • Oversee testing and analytical activities to ensure adherence to approved methods
  • Ensure appropriate validation and review of analytical data before release
  • Support troubleshooting of technical issues affecting data quality

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

  • Proactively identify risks and implement preventive and corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote best practices and lessons learned

Stakeholder Collaboration & Guidance

  • Provide technical guidance and QA/QC support to laboratory staff
  • Act as key point of contact for quality related matters
  • Communicate quality expectations and ensure alignment
  • Act as primary liaison with accreditation bodies, regulatory agencies, and key clients

Operational Support & Delivery

  • Ensure laboratory operations meet production targets while maintaining quality
  • Support release of test results in accordance with QA requirements
  • Balance operational efficiency with quality standards
  • Identify training needs and ensure improved technical competency through hands on training

QHSSE Responsibilities

  • Implement BV safety programs within the team
  • Comply with all applicable legal requirements and BV HSE policies
  • Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free
  • Report any newly identified hazard and participate in devising controls
  • Report any HSE incident and cooperate in investigating
  • Take care of own health and safety and that of others
