Position: Lead Business Analyst/Associate Consultant - Product Owner-Trade Finance(10-15 Years) Experience: 10-15 years Category: Software Development/ Engineering Shift: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad Position ID: J0826-0387 Employment Type: Full Time Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 10 years of relevant experience. The Product Owner will work on CGI Trade360, one of CGI's flagship Intellectual Property (IP) products, and will be responsible for defining and driving the product vision, roadmap, and feature priorities to deliver maximum business value. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, customers, development, QA, architecture, and support teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality Trade Finance solutions. The Product Owner will own and manage the product backlog, translate business needs into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria, prioritize features based on business value, customer needs, and market demands, and ensure alignment with the overall product strategy. The role also involves participating in Agile ceremonies, validating delivered functionality, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and driving continuous product improvements. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Trade Finance functionalities, excellent stakeholder management, decision-making, and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Experience in Supply Chain Finance (SCF) and managing SaaS-based banking products will be an added advantage.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. • Define, prioritize, and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, architects, developers, QA, and support teams to deliver high-quality product enhancements. • Make informed prioritization decisions by balancing business value, customer impact, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines. • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and product demonstrations. • Validate delivered functionality against business requirements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). • Monitor product performance, gather customer feedback, and drive continuous product improvements. • Ensure successful product releases by coordinating with cross-functional teams and communicating release scope and timelines.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Must-Have Skills: • Strong knowledge of Trade Finance functionalities is mandatory. • Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role within Banking/Trade Finance. • Ability to define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business objectives. • Strong experience in backlog management, writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and prioritizing features. • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate with business users, customers, development, QA, and leadership teams. • Experience in conducting product demonstrations, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement sessions. • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Good-to-Have Skills: • Experience in Supply Chain Finance (SCF) will be an added advantage. • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working closely with Scrum teams. • Experience in test case review, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release validation. • Knowledge of product analytics, reporting, and customer feedback management is an added advantage.
