Purpose of Job
- Able to do the work through the use of general and key guidance, primarily concerned with finding solutions to challenges that require analysis
- Complex operational activities include researching and examining industries of senior taxpayers to measure revenue
- Guiding and supporting auditors in research, inspection, office audits, field visits
- Conducting full tax audits on senior taxpayers to derive audit conclusions within applicable systems, manuals, policies, and procedures
Job Responsibilities
- Keep abreast of VAT policies, GAAP and GAAP auditing standards
- Develop and update assessment templates and audit tools
- Follow latest developments by industry type to ensure awareness of new tax practices
- Maintain and update senior taxpayer manuals, declarations, eligibility criteria
- Coordinate with account managers and ensure quick communication with senior taxpayers
- Conduct office audit activities and liaise with relevant stakeholders
- Conduct comprehensive data collection activities to understand taxpayers' field of work
- Examine and evaluate financial position, income declarations, and revenue streams
- Examine taxpayer returns, identify high risk cases, detect non compliant cases
- Review current audit files and past audit results to validate accounts
- Prepare reports on high risk cases based on audit results
- Prepare reports and statistics on major taxpayers to identify patterns and trends
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent
- At least 4 years of industry experience
