Laundry Supervisor

The Hotel Laundry Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the hotel laundry department, ensuring that all guest laundry, linen, towels, uniforms, and other textiles are processed efficiently and to the hotel's required standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and quality.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laundry attendants and other laundry team members.
• Allocate duties and monitor staff performance to maintain efficient workflow.
• Ensure timely washing, drying, pressing, folding, sorting, and distribution of all hotel linen and uniforms.
• Inspect laundry for cleanliness, stains, damage, proper pressing, and overall presentation.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled accurately, professionally, and within the required turnaround time.
• Monitor linen par levels and coordinate linen distribution with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other departments.
• Maintain accurate records of linen, uniforms, guest laundry, damaged items, and daily laundry production.
• Monitor the operation and condition of washing machines, dryers, presses, irons, and other laundry equipment.
• Report equipment breakdowns and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of laundry chemicals in accordance with safety procedures.
• Control the use of water, electricity, chemicals, and other supplies to minimize costs and waste.
• Train and coach team members on laundry procedures, equipment operation, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the laundry and linen storage areas.
