Large Corporate Banking Relationship Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage large corporate and strategic client relationships as the primary relationship manager.
• Acquire new corporate banking opportunities across financing, deposits, and fee income.
• Build relationships with senior corporate decision-makers.
• Structure working capital, project finance, trade finance, and syndicated finance facilities.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and creditworthiness.
• Prepare credit proposals, annual reviews, facility renewals, and financing recommendations.
• Monitor portfolio performance, utilization, covenants, and early warning indicators.
• Coordinate transaction execution with Credit, Risk, Legal, Sharia, Treasury, Operations, and Compliance teams.
• Support Murabaha, Tawarruq, Ijarah, and other Sharia-compliant structures.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and financing structures.
• Ensure regulatory, AML/KYC, internal policy, and Sharia compliance.
• Maintain portfolio quality, documentation, collateral records, and risk controls.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CFA, MBA, Certified Credit Qualification, or equivalent is required.
• At least 10-15 years of banking experience, including substantial Large Corporate Banking or Corporate Banking experience.
• Proven experience managing large corporate relationships and complex financing transactions.
• Strong experience in credit analysis and credit proposal preparation.
• Experience with large-ticket corporate financing transactions.
• Exposure to syndicated finance, project finance, structured finance, or real estate finance is required.
• Previous local Qatar bank or GCC bank experience is highly preferred.
• Islamic banking experience is strongly preferred.
• Arabic and English language proficiency is preferred in the main qualifications section.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong corporate financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills.
• Expertise in financial modelling and cash flow analysis.
• Deep understanding of corporate lending and large corporate relationship management.
• Knowledge of Islamic financing structures and Sharia-compliant banking products.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance, letters of credit, and bank guarantees.
• Experience in syndicated financing and structured corporate lending.
• Understanding of collateral structures, pricing, and profitability management.
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, Central Bank regulations, and banking compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with senior executives and decision-makers.
• Strong commercial acumen, business development, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and professional judgment.
