Description
Coordinate the smooth and efficient movement of goods through the Landside Team at London Heathrow.
Manage land-based transport operations while adhering to strict security and safety regulations.
This is a night-shift role operating on a four-days-on, four-days-off pattern.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop optimal transportation routes based on distance, time, cost, and transport mode.
- Select carriers or logistics providers based on capacity, reliability, cost, and service levels.
- Coordinate consolidation of multiple shipments into full truckloads or container loads.
- Plan and schedule transportation movements, including pickup and delivery times.
- Complete transportation documentation and reports and verify compliance with laws, regulations, and business requirements.
- Identify transportation savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Build collaborative customer relationships and deliver consistently high customer satisfaction.
To Be Successful
- Excellent command of English in written and verbal communication.
- Prior transport-planning and busy transport-operations knowledge and experience is required.
- Knowledge of air and road logistics is required.
