Responsibilities
- Ensure all construction works related to soft and hard landscaping are performed in accordance with plans and specifications
- Maintain a detailed diary of day's work activities, issues, work approved or rejected
- Interface with public to mitigate construction impacts
- Coordinate with Contractor's foreman to check proper execution of work
- Coordinate with Materials Technician for sampling and testing
- Report questionable methods or non conformance to Resident Engineer
- Process joint measurement forms and maintain records
- Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as built plans
- Document Contractor's activities that may lead to claims
- Enforce performance in accordance with approved Safety Plan
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Landscape / Agriculture Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 4+ years of demonstrable experience in landscaping/irrigation related to operations & maintenance of public realms
- Ability to read working drawings and related specifications
- Equivalency certificate from Ministry of Education UAE is mandatory

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed landscape work and give practical advice on constructional matters.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensure that all construction works related to soft and hard landscaping are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
- Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc., and sign at the end of each day.
- Interface with the public, especially residents and business owners adjacent to the work, to mitigate the construction impacts.
- Coordinate with the Contractor’s foreman in charge of the work daily to check on the proper execution of the work.
- Coordinate with the Materials Technician and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.
- Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the Resident Engineer.
- Report to the Resident Engineer any failure of the Contractor to conform to plans and specifications and to provide good workmanship.
- Process the joint measurement forms and maintain records of their status.
- Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as built plans.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed by the contractor on a Day Works basis.
- Make special notes and document the Contractor’s activities that may lead to claims.
- Be fair and firm in dealings with the Contractor. Consider alternatives and consequences carefully before making decisions.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor Degree in Landscape / Agriculture Engineering or equivalent. Equivalency certificate issued from Ministry of Education UAE is mandatory.
- Minimum of 4+ years of demonstrable experience in all aspects of landscaping/irrigation related to operations & maintenance of public realms.
- He must possess the ability to read working drawings and related specifications, and capable of enforcing such specifications.
- Experience working on ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality) project is preferred.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access and maintain records, generate reports, etc.
- Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
- ADM approval as Landscape Inspector is an advantage.
