Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D landscape construction drawings using AutoCAD
- Develop technical drawings including planting layouts, hardscape details, irrigation layouts, grading, and site development details
- Translate concept sketches and design intent into accurate technical drawings
- Conduct site surveys and gather site measurements and topographic information
- Coordinate with landscape architects, engineers, designers, and site teams
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and local regulations
- Prepare quantity take offs and assist with material estimations
- Update and maintain as built drawings throughout project execution
- Revise drawings based on design updates and site conditions
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing records
Requirements
- Diploma in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 5 8 years of experience as a Landscape Draftsman in construction or landscaping
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drafting
- Good understanding of landscape construction methods and detailing
- Familiarity with grading, irrigation systems, and civil utilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Summary
- AKI/GCL is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Landscape Draftsman to join our Technical Department.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed landscape construction drawings for residential, commercial, and public realm projects.
- The role requires strong technical drafting expertise, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to translate design concepts into accurate and practical construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D landscape construction drawings using AutoCAD and related drafting software.
- Develop technical drawings including planting layouts, hardscape details, irrigation layouts, grading and levels, and site development details.
- Translate concept sketches, design intent, and client requirements into accurate technical drawings.
- Conduct site surveys and gather required site measurements and topographic information.
- Coordinate with landscape architects, engineers, designers, consultants, and site teams to ensure project accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and construction standards.
- Prepare quantity take offs and assist with material estimations based on approved drawings.
- Update and maintain as built drawings throughout project execution.
- Revise drawings based on design updates, site conditions, and consultant comments.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing records.
- Support project teams with technical drafting requirements and coordination.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Preferred Qualification: Drafting and Design Certification.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Landscape Draftsman within the construction or landscaping industry.
- Strong experience in landscape, hardscape, irrigation, and civil drafting works.
- Experience in UAE/GCC projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drafting.
- Good understanding of landscape construction methods and detailing.
- Familiarity with grading, irrigation systems, and civil utilities.
- Knowledge of ProjectWise or similar document management systems is an advantage.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
