- Check setting out and levels, and ensure protection of services locations
- Prepare sketches to support field work and maintain survey information
- Measure work done when required
- Observe site safety procedures
- Assist in preparation of as built drawings
- Participate in health and safety issues at site
Requirements
- Relevant technical qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in survey works with modern instruments
- Previous UAE experience in main contracting
- Experience in inspection/supervising of project activities/works
- Highly experienced in Total Station and associated software
- Computer literate with working knowledge of AutoCAD and other related software

The Role
- Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Land Surveyor to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on high profile new build villa masterplan projects.
- Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Land Surveyor working on high profile projects in the UAE with prior experience in working for recognised Main Contracting Companies.
- This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations.
- Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
- Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man hour and cost budgets.
- Check setting out and levels. Check services locations and ensure their protection.
- Prepare sketches to support the field work. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
- Measure work done when required.
- Observe site safety procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of 'as built' drawings.
- Act positively, and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer, and project Safety Representative.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
Requirements
- The surveyor must have relevant technical qualification and must have not less than 3 years of experience in survey works with modern instruments in works related to major villa masterplan works.
- Previous UAE Experience in Main Contracting is required.
- Experience of inspection / supervising of project activities/works.
- Highly experienced in Total Station and their associated software.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Auto CAD and other related software.
