- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Develop operational procedures and support audits
- Report performance metrics and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Strong laboratory skills including practical experience in workflows and testing procedures
- Proficiency in laboratory safety practices, including implementation of safety protocols and risk assessments
- Hands on experience with laboratory equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated expertise in quality control, including method validation and continuous improvement
- Proven operations management capabilities including staff supervision, resource planning, and performance monitoring
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science) or equivalent experience
- Experience in accredited laboratory environments (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025) is highly beneficial
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on site in Dubai

Role Description
- The Laboratory Operations Manager is a full time, on site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- This role oversees day to day laboratory operations, ensuring tests are performed accurately, safely, and in compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Responsibilities include managing laboratory staff, coordinating workflows, optimizing use of laboratory equipment, and maintaining inventory and resources.
- The manager monitors quality control processes, reviews and validates test results, and ensures adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- The role also involves developing operational procedures, supporting audits, reporting performance metrics, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong Laboratory Skills, including practical experience in laboratory workflows and testing procedures.
- Proficiency in Laboratory Safety practices, including implementation of safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance with HSE standards.
- Hands on experience with Laboratory Equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated expertise in Quality Control, including method validation, data review, and continuous improvement of laboratory processes.
- Proven Operations Management capabilities, including staff supervision, resource planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science) or equivalent experience; advanced degree is an advantage.
- Experience in accredited laboratory environments (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025 or similar standards) is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact with clients and auditors.
- Ability to work on site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and manage operations in a fast paced, results driven environment.
