Laboratory Assistant

Element has an opportunity for Lab Assistant whos primary responsibility will be to assist the department supervisor to support daily operations.

At all times this individual will be expected to comply with Element health and safety, cGMP and integrity policies, and to conduct all our testing to the highest level of cGMP compliance

$23-$25.50/hr DOE

• Works with direct manager and colleagues, taking regular direction from manager and more senior colleagues.
• Communicates status of work on a daily basis and collaborates with team.
• Handles routine matters and problems, escalates moderately complex or complicated issues to others.
• Maintain inventory of standards, reagents, materials to match demands of the laboratory
• Receive shipments and manage laboratory inventory
• Ensures all equipment and materials are organized and cleaned before and after use
• Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly quality control checks on equipment, standards, and materials
• Provide administrative assistance
• Maintain high safety and quality standards in all activities
• Ensure that all staff requests for help, information or support are treated fairly and professionally
• Ensure that co-workers receive the help and support they need in order for the team as a whole to succeed
• Compliance with GMP/GLP and ISO requirements as these pertain to responsibilities
• Good time management and prioritization
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan daily work and arrange activities to meet deadlines.
• Follows instructions, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic understanding of lab equipment and ability to learn computer programs and manual systems quickly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 Years lab experience
