About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform pilot testing on drilling and completion fluids
- Perform QA/QC on products as required
- Repair, maintain and calibrate site testing equipment
- Analyse corrosion coupons and provide technical report
- Run core flow tests to evaluate mud cake breaker formulation
- Run PPA/PPT and laser PSD analysis for RDF and Low Invasion Coring Fluids
- Monitor and maintain safe stock level of lab consumables
- Provide support to incident investigations and RCA
- Ensure laboratory and equipment are maintained and organized
- Provide mentorship and supervision to DCF Lab operations
- Collaborate with remote teams to share technical knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science discipline (Physics, Environmental, Chemistry, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, etc.)
- Minimum 7 years experience in a Drilling Fluids Lab as Lab Technician or Technical Support Engineer (10 years preferred)
- Fluent Arabic speaker (preferable)
- Strong experience in drilling fluids design, applications, and performance
- Technically competent to run all Drilling Fluids API related Specs
- Excellent planning, interpersonal, and influencing skills

Job Description
- This position delivers detailed Drilling and Completion lab testing and analytical work to support product and system design, project troubleshooting and performance analysis.
Responsibilities
- Performing pilot testing on drilling and completion fluids.
- Perform QA/QC on products as required.
- Repair, maintain and calibrate site testing equipment.
- Analyse corrosion coupons recovered from the field.
- Run core flow tests to evaluate and select optimum mud cake breaker formulation.
- Run PPA/PPT, laser PSD analyser to evaluate and design RDF and Low invasion Coring Fluids.
- Monitor and maintain safe stock level of all lab consumables.
- Providing support to incident investigations and RCA.
- Ensuring that laboratory and lab equipment are maintained and organized.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to DCF Lab operations.
- Collaborating with remote teams to share technical knowledge.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Bachelor’s degree in any Science discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a Drilling Fluids Lab.
- Fluent Arabic Speaker (preferable).
- Strong experience in drilling fluids design, applications, and performance.
- Technically competent to run all Drilling Fluids API related Specs.
- Independent working in the lab.
- Excellent Planning, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
