Overview
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
This role supports the kitchen team by ensuring all utensils, equipment, and workspaces are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, utensils, and cookware.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, storage areas, and waste disposal areas.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Assist in waste management and garbage disposal following hygiene standards.
- Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and operational tasks as required.
- Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed on time.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or equipment issues.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized stewarding area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in stewarding or cleaning roles is preferred.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation & Benefits: As per company policy and UAE Labour Law.
Pay: From AED1.00 per hour
