Role Overview
SIHAMCO is hiring a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization throughout kitchen and back-of-house areas.
The successful candidate will keep equipment, utensils, crockery, and work areas clean, sanitized, and ready for use.
This is a seasonal six-month opportunity located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery.
- Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
- Keep kitchen, washing-up, and back-of-house areas clean and organized.
- Clean floors, walls, work surfaces, sinks, and other kitchen areas as required.
- Assist chefs in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen during service.
- Remove and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Follow cleaning schedules, hygiene checklists, food safety procedures, and HACCP requirements.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or hygiene concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist with receiving, moving, and storing kitchen supplies when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, or Kitchen Helper is required.
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food and beverage environment is advantageous.
- Basic English communication skills are required.
- Candidates should understand kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Candidates must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
