Overview
The Kitchen Steward will maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and surrounding areas, operate pot-washing machinery, and adhere to sanitation guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the kitchen and surrounding areas are clean, well maintained and organized at all times
- Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment to company standards
- Adhere to all sanitation guidelines
- Dispose of waste as per the Outlet and local legislation standards and adhere to recycling guidelines
- Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures
- Clean and maintain floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures
- Clean and sanitize dishes and related service-ware following established procedures
- Clean large equipment as assigned, following established procedures
- Consistently adhere to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health and Data Sheet information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace
- Check all chemical levels and inventory
- Clean, sanitize and close workstations
- Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the management
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Steward
