Job Description
The Junior Sous Chef assists senior kitchen leadership with culinary standards, kitchen operations, colleague supervision, training, and food quality.
The role includes daily cooking, service-period hot-plate duties, banquet menu support, food safety, inventory control, and cost awareness.
Kitchen Operations
- Assist the Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in setting and maintaining culinary standards.
- Optimize materials and manpower to support smooth operations, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate training and motivate kitchen colleagues.
- Cook food daily according to business requirements.
- Supervise colleagues engaged in kitchen operations.
- Attend daily, monthly, and operational meetings and report relevant points to executive kitchen leadership.
