Junior Language Researcher & Instructor

The purpose of the Junior Language Researcher and Instructor position is to support the preservation and revitalization of the xa'isla language by assisting in research, documentation, and teaching. This position is designated to help the incumbent build their knowledge of the x̄á’isla language and orthography while developing skills in language instruction and resource creation. Working closely with fluent speakers, linguists, and senior staff, the Junior Language Researcher & Instructor will contribute to creating teaching materials and supporting others on their language learning journey.

The Haisla Nation is the band government of the Haisla people. Our mission is to build a powerful, prosperous and proud community, healthy in mind, body and spirit.
