About the Role
AD Ports Group is seeking a Junior Engineer for its Maritime & Shipping Cluster to assist in engine room operations and maintenance aboard vessels. The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a COC as Engine Watchkeeping, and at least 1 year of experience as an engine apprentice or cadet.

- Carry out safety equipment maintenance as instructed.

Job Purpose
- Junior Engineers assist the vessel’s Chief Engineer / 2nd Engineer and any other engineers on duty, working in the ship's hull and engine room.
- Support the operation of main engines, electrical generation, steering mechanism, and other major subsystems.

- AD Ports Group’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster is led by Noatum Maritime, operating across multiple countries with a fleet of over 250 vessels.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to the Second Engineer for normal maintenance duties and to the Chief Engineer for watch keeping duties.
- Maintain machinery as assigned by the Second Engineer.
- Assist the Second Engineer in maintaining the Engine Room.
- Keep the 4/8 watch or any other watch as assigned.
- While on watch, be under the direction of the senior engineer.
- Support the Chief Officer during ballast operations.
- Assist other engineers as instructed.
- Carry out duties relating to bunkering as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
- Carry out safety equipment maintenance as instructed.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and holding COC as Engine Watchkeeping as minimum.
- Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as Engine apprentice / Cadet.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
