Responsibilities
- Supports Senior Engineers or Designers with electrical design and drafting of low and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. • Prepares various drawings such as single line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable tray layouts, grounding layouts, wiring and schematic diagrams, installation details, panel schedules, cable schedules, electrical heat tracing, bill of materials, PLC or instrumentation panels, etc. • Conducts various calculations such as voltage drop, cable tray fill, lighting, etc. • Creates and maintains drawings using AutoCAD and Revit • Maintains electrical data, documentation, and drawings. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- College Diploma or University Degree in electrical engineering technology with up to 4 years of experience. • Related co-op work experience is an asset. • Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Codes, electrical engineering principles and practices, industry and regulatory codes and standards (OESC, NEC, CSA, IEEE, NFPA). • Ability and interest in developing and drafting drawings. • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. • Strong team player with ability to coordinate and work with other engineering disciplines. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. • Experience with Revit and Navisworks is strong asset. • Electrical design experience in underground mining is an asset.
- Additional Information: • We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy. • Salary Range is expected to be between: $54,600.00 to $82,150.00 • Comprehensive benefits and retirement plan. • This role can be performed hybrid from site and remotely • Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge/skills, and experience.
