Responsibilities
- Contributes to the team by actively participating in design and drafting control, automation, and instrumentation systems. • Integrates communications into the PLC such as Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet IP and Devicenet • Develops electrical, instrumentation and control drawings. • Creates and maintains drawings using AutoCAD. • Maintains electrical data, documentation, and drawings. • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- College Diploma or University Degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy industrial settings. • Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Codes, electrical engineering principles and practices, industry and regulatory codes and standards (OESC, NEC, CSA, IEEE, NFPA). • Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems. • Proficient in developing and drafting drawings with a keen interest in learning new techniques. • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. • Strong team player with ability to coordinate and work with other engineering disciplines. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. • Experience with Revit is highly desirable. • Electrical design experience in underground mining is a strong asset.
- Additional Information: • We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy. • Salary Range is expected to be between: $82,950.00 to $109,700.00 • Comprehensive benefits and retirement plan. • This role can be performed hybrid from site and remotely • Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge/skills, and experience.
