Overview

We are assisting a reputable corporate bank in Abu Dhabi in the search for a

Chinese-Speaking Junior Accountant

to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or junior finance professionals looking to build their career in the banking sector and gain exposure to financial reporting, regulatory compliance and accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial and regulatory reports in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support communication and coordination with regulatory authorities, external auditors, tax authorities, external consultants, and Chinese-speaking stakeholders when required
  • Maintain and reconcile financial records to ensure accuracy and timely accounting entries
  • Review employee expense reimbursements and supporting documentation for compliance and accuracy
  • Support the implementation and standardization of internal financial policies and procedures
  • Assist with month-end closing and other routine accounting activities
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by the department head

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; internship or part-time finance experience is a plus
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a high sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with or strong interest in the banking and financial services sector is preferred
  • Candidates currently based in Abu Dhabi will be given preference
