Job Purpose
Oversee monitoring and inspection activities across public, school, chartered, tourist, maritime, and international transport services.
Coordinate field team readiness, operational efficiency, training execution, issue resolution, and compliance with approved regulations and standards.
Strategy
- Contribute to annual monitoring and inspection plans and submit them to the department manager.
- Study field inspection team requirements to improve departmental efficiency.
- Monitor the provision and improvement of inspection equipment and procedures.
- Contribute to monthly and campaign inspection plans and monitor implementation.
Operations
- Ensure supervisors and inspectors maintain proper appearance and comply with official attire requirements.
- Supervise public transportation efficiency at outlets and event locations with relevant parties.
- Issue daily reports on field inspections covering buses and maritime activities.
- Inspect transport users and operators and issue violations under RTA regulations.
- Respond to inquiries, provide departmental information, resolve issues, and handle complaints.
- Supervise approved training programs and submit related reports.
- Conduct field control at buses, maritime transport means, docks, schools, rental facilities, and tourist and international bus facilities.
- Monitor permits, safety, environmental compliance, and bus services and coordinate during accidents or breakdowns.
- Monitor taxi drivers, limousines, hourly rental vehicles, and illegal transportation activities.
Process Improvement
- Generate weekly statistics and monthly reports with results, obstacles, and recommendations.
- Attend committee meetings and complete assigned responsibilities.
Physical Working Conditions
- The role is highly site-based and involves frequent site inspections.
Education and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 9 years with a diploma.
