Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, take medical histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Formulate personalized treatment plans for injuries, illnesses, and disorders within the specialty
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medication, therapy, or other specialized medical care
- Perform necessary procedures/surgeries related to the specialty
- Liaise and consult with other medical specialists, departments, and support services
- Accurately document all relevant clinical information in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities
- Provide instruction, guidance, and supervision to junior medical staff, residents, and students
- Communicate clinical information to patients and their families in a timely and compassionate manner
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and DOH regulations
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school
- Completion of a structured clinical residency or fellowship program in the relevant specialization
- Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine / REI/ ART
- Minimum 2 3 years of clinical experience post specialization
- Valid DOH license or eligibility letter to practice in Abu Dhabi
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Summary
- The Specialist Physician shares responsibility with the Consultant Physician for delivering high quality, evidence based, and patient centered care.
- The role involves diagnosing and treating complex conditions, managing patient care plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the supervision and training of junior medical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, take medical histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate personalized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medication, therapy, or other specialized medical care and perform necessary procedures/surgeries.
- Liaise and consult with other medical specialists, departments, and support services.
- Accurately document all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities.
- Provide instruction, guidance, and supervision to junior medical staff, residents, and students.
- Communicate clinical information to patients and their families in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Adhere to all hospital departmental and divisional policies, procedures, and DOH regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
- Completion of a structured clinical residency or fellowship program in the relevant specialization.
- Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine / REI/ ART.
- Minimum of 2 3 years of clinical experience post specialization.
- Valid DOH license or eligibility letter to practice in Abu Dhabi.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and commitment to CME/CPD.
