About the Role
GSSTech Group is hiring an IT Support specialist for enterprise monitoring in Abu Dhabi. The role involves daily system monitoring, backup operations, level-1 support, and core banking end-of-day activities.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up
- Provide level 1 support per request from various teams and entities; investigate and troubleshoot issues
- Monitor the performance and capacity of IT systems, applications and datacenter components
- Conduct core banking end of day activities and execute relevant reports
- Respond to IT, datacenter, DB alerts and hardware malfunctions
- Track and document IT issues and compile incident reports
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or computer engineering
- 0 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Arabic and a good command of English
- Ability to work flexible hours

Job Purpose
- Support the installation, configuration and monitoring of all IT applications, systems and databases.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application uptime, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and DR replication.
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled.
- Provide level 1 support per request from various teams and entities. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor the performance and capacity of IT systems, applications and datacenter components.
- Conduct core banking end of day activities and execute relevant reports.
- Respond to IT, datacenter, DB alerts and hardware malfunctions.
- Track and document IT issues and compiling incident reports.
- Performs any other duties outside the scope as and when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or computer engineering.
- 0 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Working experience in the UAE, with familiarity with the UAE’s regulations is preferred.
- Proficient in Arabic and a good command of English.
