Job Purpose
The IT Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining the school’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of all hardware, software, and network systems.
The role supports teaching and administrative functions by providing reliable technical support and ensuring data security and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities1. IT Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and networks.
- Ensure smooth functioning of internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and LAN systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Maintain backup systems and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.
2. Technical Support
- Provide technical support to staff, teachers, and administration.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in setting up IT equipment for classrooms, labs, and events.
- Support online learning platforms and digital tools used by the school.
3. Network & Security
- Maintain network security, including firewalls, antivirus systems, and user access controls.
- Monitor systems for security breaches or vulnerabilities.
- Ensure regular updates and patches are applied to systems and software.
- Implement data protection and cybersecurity measures.
4. Hardware & Software Management
- Manage inventory of IT equipment such as computers, printers, projectors, and servers.
- Install and update software applications and operating systems.
- Coordinate repairs, replacements, and upgrades of IT equipment.
5. User Management & Administration
- Create and manage user accounts, email IDs, and system access.
- Maintain staff and student databases and ensure data accuracy.
- Provide training to staff on IT systems and tools when required.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of IT assets, licenses, and warranties.
- Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Document IT procedures and guidelines.
7. Support for School Operations
- Assist in managing school management systems (ERP, attendance, grading systems).
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
