IT Applications Manager

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of critical software applications.
• Ensure applications run efficiently and meet business requirements.
• Plan and execute software updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Manage application support specialists and developers.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure proper support.
• Negotiate contracts and manage service level agreements.
• Gather business requirements and prioritize application enhancements.
• Resolve complex technical problems and minimize operational disruption.
• Maintain application configuration, process, and user-manual documentation.

Profile Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a similar subject.
• A master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional IT certification is preferred, including PMP, applications-based, Oracle, or software development frameworks certification.
• Minimum 10 years of IT sector experience, including 5 to 7 years in a managerial role.
• Strong hands-on and technical understanding of the SDLC.
• Significant experience across Oracle E-Business Suite, ERP, SharePoint, Azure, hyperscalers, document management, CRM, mobile applications, BI, and AI or generative AI.
• Experience improving business processes and managing IT business applications in a transport environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Immediate availability and current residence in Doha are preferred.
