Responsibilities
- Analyse investment opportunities, acquisitions and strategic partnerships across the mining and natural resources sector
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess project economics, company valuations and expected returns
- Conduct commercial, operational and financial due diligence on prospective acquisitions and business opportunities
- Support the evaluation of mining assets, exploration projects, development opportunities and capital expenditure proposals
- Monitor the financial performance of existing operations and prepare analysis and reports for senior leadership
- Conduct market research on commodity markets, industry trends, competitors and macroeconomic developments
- Prepare financial analysis, business cases and presentations to support investment decisions
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long term financial planning across the Group
- Work closely with finance, operations and technical teams to assess project performance
- Support corporate development activities including acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and post acquisition integration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related discipline
- Experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking or financial planning and analysis
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and commercial analysis skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Experience conducting commercial and financial due diligence
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced international environment
- Experience within mining, metals, natural resources, energy or infrastructure would be advantageous

About the Role
- We are seeking an Investment Analyst to support the Group's strategic growth, investment activities and capital allocation decisions.
- Working closely with senior leadership, you will evaluate mining projects, acquisitions and investment opportunities while providing financial analysis to support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

- Experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking or financial planning and analysis.
