About the Role

Job Purpose
- Develop and implement Inventory Management Strategy, Policy and Procedures, which provides a structured, consistent & best practice approach for strategic planning of AD Ports Group inventory management.
- Develop and forecast the CAPEX and OPEX budgets for material and spare parts for AD Port Group in line with the Clusters requirements.
- Develop a mitigation plan to reduce inventory risks to optimize the forecasting and accurate real time inventory data to manage stocks.
- Support in development and implementation of the inventory Management System in line with ISO standards requirements within AD Ports Group Clusters and Subsidiaries.
- Ensure alignment between the physical inventory with both the financial module of ERP (ORACLE) and the inventory module of Enterprise Asset Management System (MAXIMO).
- Management, analysis, and enhancement of Inventory processes and workflows in Enterprise Asset Management System (MAXIMO).
Responsibilities
- Manage and control AD Ports Group’s inventory to ensure availability of material and Capital/MRO spares across Maritime & Shipping Cluster.
- Lead and control, in coordination with end users, the procurement and stock holding (Inventory Management) of all materials required to support the company operations and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain optimisation of cost investments and availability of materials to ensure efficient and effective port operations
- Planning material requirements in accordance with the company's five year maintenance plan, discusses and confirms requirements and specifications with end users and purchasing team.
- Conducts aging analysis, identify obsolete, redundant, and surplus/excess materials, and set up a plan utilizing in operations or recommend to write off/ dispose and generate management information reports as per the stakeholder requirements.
- Applying strategies for determining the economical stocking parameters and procurement strategies and review/endorse/authorize Purchase requisitions, inventory transactions, task orders, material requisition as per operational requirements.
- Conduct physical verification audits on all AD Ports Group inventory sites ensuring maximum efficiency and reduction in the operational cost
- Analyses stock cover and long term price agreement strategies for operational equipment and maintenance spare parts. Participates in discussions related to Price Agreement and Purchase Orders in liaison with respective focal points from Purchasing and end users for initiating and implementing the sa
- Supports Procurement teams in technical clarifications and participates in situations involving material transfers to warehouse and discrepancies related to material specifications where a deadlock exists between vendors and the users.
- Reviews and endorse/authorize Purchase Requisitions (PR), inventory transactions, call off orders, material requisition, stock replenishment report, repair/refurbishment requisitions etc.as per operational requirements.
- Manage the activities of personnel and resources of the inventory management team to achieve the department objectives in an efficient and cost conscious manner and ensure that all stakeholders are updated with weekly/monthly system reports, as applicable.
Logistics & Material Movement Responsibilities
- Oversee end‑to‑end logistics activities related to the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and spare parts across AD Ports Group sites.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and transport providers to ensure timely delivery of inventory items in alignment with operational schedules.
- Optimize logistics workflows to reduce lead times, minimize handling costs, and ensure compliance with HSE and port regulations.
- Monitor and manage inbound and outbound logistics documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with ERP (ORACLE) and EAM (MAXIMO) systems.
- Develop strategies to enhance material flow efficiency between warehouses, operational clusters, and maintenance teams.
- Resolve logistics bottlenecks and discrepancies by collaborating with procurement, warehouse teams, and external service providers
People Management Responsibilities
- Design and Propose the required Organization Structure for the Inventory Management Department.
- Plan the annual manpower budget requirement for the Inventory Management Department.
- Setting the KPI’s for the staff and conducting the required evaluations to ensure the successful achievement of these KPI’s.
- Planning for the required training for the staff.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor Plans, Systems, and Internal Processes to govern all aspects of Inventory Management in accordance with the established Policies, Regulations and AD Ports Group requirements and overall directions of the Strategy.
- Provide the necessary guidelines for established Policies and Procedures that define the operating protocols, systems, and controls within the Inventory Management Department to ensure efficient and accurate monitoring.
- Drive the Inventory Management Department towards best practices and industry standards for the entire cycle of revenue management and monitoring.
HSE & Security Responsibilities
- Ensure that the AD Ports Group IMS Regulations & Compliance roles are adhered.
Qualifications
