Role Overview
The Inventory Operations Manager will ensure accurate inventory management, inventory integrity, optimized stock levels, and effective controls across warehouses and production facilities.
The role oversees physical inventory, cycle counts, inventory operations, governance, reporting, and the Inventory Supervisor and Inventory Team.
Inventory Operations Control
- Manage day-to-day inventory operations across all warehouses and manufacturing locations.
- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, transfer, and issuance of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels for production while minimizing excess inventory.
- Monitor stock movements, reconcile transactions, and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Sales teams to support uninterrupted operations.
Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts
- Develop annual physical inventory plans and periodic cycle count programs.
- Ensure accurate completion of cycle counts and stock audits.
- Reconcile physical inventory with ERP records and investigate variances.
- Coordinate with Finance and external auditors during inventory audits.
