Role Description
The Inventory Management Assistant supports efficient and accurate inventory operations, including record maintenance, stock monitoring, stock movement coordination, and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records across relevant systems.
- Monitor stock levels, identify shortages or excess inventory, and support replenishment activities.
- Assist with receiving, checking, labeling, storing, and dispatching inventory.
- Process inventory transactions and record stock movements accurately.
- Conduct stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations.
- Investigate physical stock and system-record discrepancies and support corrective actions.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide accurate stock information to relevant teams.
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, sales, and operations teams on inventory requirements.
- Assist with stock transfers, returns, adjustments, and related activities.
- Follow inventory control procedures, documentation standards, and workplace requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, and operational processes.
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Inventory Management, or a related field is desirable.
