Role Description
The Demand Planning Assistant supports demand forecasting and planning activities to maintain appropriate inventory levels and align supply with expected business requirements.
The role involves analysing demand data, maintaining planning information, monitoring forecast performance, and coordinating with relevant teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and maintaining demand forecasts using historical data, trends, seasonality, and business requirements.
- Collect, consolidate, and validate sales, inventory, order, and demand data from relevant sources.
- Monitor demand patterns and identify changes, trends, potential risks, and unusual variances.
- Maintain accurate demand planning data, forecasts, and planning parameters in relevant systems.
- Support regular forecast reviews and updates based on changes in demand and business requirements.
- Prepare demand planning reports, dashboards, analyses, and performance summaries.
- Compare actual demand against forecasts and assist with forecast variance analysis.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, supply chain, inventory, procurement, and operations teams to gather demand information.
- Assist with identifying potential stock shortages, excess inventory, and supply-demand imbalances.
- Support scenario analysis and other planning activities when required.
- Maintain documentation of forecasts, assumptions, adjustments, and planning decisions.
