About the Role
The School of Research Science is looking for an Interior Designer / Draftsman to develop interior design concepts, prepare technical drawings, and conduct site visits. The role requires proficiency in 2D/3D design software and knowledge of materials and finishes.

- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and space planning solutions.
- Prepare mood boards, material boards, and design presentations.
- Select finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and accessories based on project requirements.
- Produce 3D models and visualizations to communicate design intent.
- Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Conduct site visits to inspect project locations before, during, and after execution.
- Take accurate site measurements and verify dimensions prior to design development and drafting.

Interior Design
- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and space planning solutions.

- Prepare material specifications and schedules.
- Coordinate design development with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure designs meet project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
Drafting & Technical Documentation
- Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Produce detailed joinery, millwork, and shop drawings.
- Prepare construction documentation for tender and execution.
- Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and design changes.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control.
- Prepare as built drawings upon project completion.
Site Visits & Coordination
- Conduct site visits to inspect project locations before, during, and after execution.
- Take accurate site measurements and verify dimensions prior to design development and drafting.
- Prepare site measurement reports and update drawings based on actual site conditions.
- Identify site constraints and coordinate practical design solutions.
- Verify existing conditions and ensure drawings accurately reflect on site dimensions.
- Coordinate with contractors and site supervisors during project execution.
- Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and design specifications.
- Resolve site related technical issues and recommend appropriate design modifications when required.
- Prepare as built drawings following project completion.
