Intelligent Automation and Tech Innovation Manager

Job Purpose

Essential Roles And Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the intelligent automation and technology innovation strategy aligned with organizational objectives and digital transformation goals.
• Lead the Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) initiatives to standardize automation frameworks, governance, and best practices.
• Drive continuous IT modernization by simplifying processes, enhancing security posture, and optimizing operational costs through automation.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend emerging automation and AI technologies to maintain competitive advantage and maximize business value.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate adoption of intelligent automation solutions.
• Manage vendor and system integrator relationships to ensure delivery excellence and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and leverage new opportunities in automation and AI.

Functional Roles And Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end management of multiple automation and innovation projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Define project scopes, resource plans, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Lead cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and process owners to translate business needs into scalable automation solutions.
• Ensure rigorous testing, validation, and quality assurance of automation deployments to meet business and architectural standards.
• Manage change control processes and address issues arising during implementation and post-deployment phases.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project plans, technical designs, testing outcomes, and performance metrics.
• Provide regular status reports, risk assessments, and impact analyses to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Champion process analysis and optimization initiatives to continuously identify new automation opportunities.
• Ensure governance frameworks are enforced, including compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive knowledge sharing, training programs, and capability building within the automation team and broader organization.

People Management Roles And Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of automation specialists and developers.
• Allocate resources effectively across projects and manage team workload to optimize productivity and engagement.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with business units, IT, vendors, and system integrators to align priorities and facilitate seamless project execution.
• Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives, and support professional development plans for team members.

Education And Certification And Continued Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Relevant certifications in automation technologies (RPA, AI/ML), project management (PMP, Agile), or digital transformation are advantageous.
• Years of Experience
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in process automation, including RPA and DPA, with at least 4 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience leading multiple complex automation projects from conception through deployment and support.
• Strong background in AI, machine learning, and deep learning projects (5+ years preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform and familiarity with other automation tools and platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor and system integrator partnerships effectively.
• Experience in process analysis, business process reengineering, and automation solution design across diverse industries.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change management skills.
