Results-driven General Insurance Professional around 8 years of extensive experience in underwriting, policy administration, and claims management across multiple lines of general insurance.
Proven expertise in risk assessment, policy issuance, renewals, claims settlement, customer relationship management, and regulatory compliance.
Strong operational leadership with a track record of improving efficiency, reducing claims turnaround time, and enhancing underwriting profitability.

Underwriting & Technical Oversight
- Risk Evaluation — Review complex risks, validate underwriting submissions, and approve quote slips prepared by the team.
- Technical Guidance — Provide technical support on Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet, and SME lines.
- Portfolio Management — Monitor loss ratios, track renewals, and ensure profitable underwriting decisions.
Team Leadership & Performance
- Team Supervision — Lead and mentor underwriters, allocate workloads, and ensure timely delivery of quotations and policies.
- Training & Development — Conduct training on underwriting standards, portals, compliance, and product knowledge.
- Quality Control — Review team outputs including comparisons, proposals, and policy documents.
Insurer & Client Relationship Management
- Insurer Negotiation — Negotiate terms, premiums, and special conditions with insurers.
- Client Engagement — Support sales team in client meetings, presentations, and renewal discussions.
- Escalation Handling — Resolve complex underwriting or policy issues.
Operational & Compliance Management
- Policy Issuance Oversight — Ensure accurate issuance of policies, endorsements, cancellations, and refunds.
- Compliance Monitoring — Ensure adherence to CBUAE regulations, KYC, proposal forms, declarations, and documentation standards.
Business Growth & Strategy
- Sales Support — Collaborate with sales teams to prepare competitive proposals and win new business.
- Market Analysis — Track market trends, new products, and insurer updates.
- Revenue Growth — Drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Experience & Expertise
- Around 8 years of experience in General Insurance Underwriting, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role ( UAE brokers Experience Min 4 to 5 years)
- Strong technical knowledge across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet, and SME lines.
- Mandatory experience working with an insurance broker in the UAE.
Skills
- Proficiency in insurer portals and policy issuance systems.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent English communication and presentation abilities.
- High accuracy, analytical thinking, and decision-making capability.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Education
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Finance, or Insurance.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CII) are an advantage.
