About the Role

Responsibilities
- Read and understand contract documents, drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures.
- Ensure contractor compliance with standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testing.
- Maintain records of contractor manpower and equipment daily resources.
- Undertake site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer.
- Document contractor activities, personnel, equipment, and methods.
- Report on materials delivery and implement site instructions.
- Apply quality controls and procedures on site.
- Prepare site measurements and surveying checks.
- Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements.
- Monitor health and safety of construction works and report violations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of overall experience in Electrical related projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE
- Experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy
- Knowledge of Electrical methodologies and installation processes
- Knowledge of Building Codes
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Competent at writing reports in English

Job Summary
- The Electrical Inspector will ensure contractors are compliant with contract documents, coordinate daily with other teams, document and verify quality and quantity of work, and process Inspection Requests and technical submittals.
Job Duties
- Reading and understanding package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures.
- Ensuring contractor compliance with standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testing.
- Maintaining records of contractor manpower and equipment daily resources.
- Undertaking all site supervision and inspections when required.
- Documenting contractor personnel, equipment, activities, location, reason, and methods.
- Reporting on materials delivery and implementing site instructions.
- Applying and implementing all quality controls and procedures.
- Preparing site measurements and surveying checks.
- Monitoring conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements.
- Monitoring Health and Safety and reporting violations.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering required; related Degree required for progression to Engineer level.
Specific Skills Required
- Good knowledge of basic design requirements, Electrical methodologies and installation processes.
- Knowledge of Building Codes.
- Experience in Buildings of all types, particularly horizontal development, mixed use residential and commercial, retail and hospitality.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Competent at writing reports in good written English.
- Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.
Experience
- Experience in Electrical related projects required.
- Minimum 7 years overall experience, minimum 5 years in UAE.
- Construction Supervision experience with a Consultancy.
