Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems
- Perform inside/outside cable plant work including installation of ducts and conduits, pulling cables, terminating, testing, splicing, and repairing interior and outside copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling
- Install fiber optic modems, fiber multiplex equipment, fiber patch panels, analog and digital copper patch panels, main and intermediate distribution frames
- Install lightning protection and supporting ground and power connections
- Install cabinets, cable ladder and rack systems, and equipment components
- Operate heavy equipment as specified: track excavator, backhoe, bobcat, cable reel truck, and 20K all terrain forklift
Requirements
- AA/AS degree
- 3+ years of related experience
- Experience with installation of ducts and conduits, pulling cables, terminating, testing, splicing, and repairing interior and outside copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling
- Experience with installation of fiber optic modems, fiber multiplex equipment, fiber patch panels, analog and digital copper patch panels, main and intermediate distribution frames
- Experience with installation of lightning protection and supporting ground and power connections
- Experience with installation of cabinets, cable ladder and rack systems, and equipment components
- Experience with operation of heavy equipment: track excavator, backhoe, bobcat, cable reel truck, and 20K all terrain forklift
- SECRET security clearance
- US Citizenship required

HOW A Inside/Outside Cable Plant Technician II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Performs installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.
- Leverage a Lead level of experience to perform inside/outside cable plant work.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Education: AA/AS Required
- Experience: 3+ years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills: Installation of ducts and conduits, pulling cables, and terminating, testing, splicing, and repairing interior and outside copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling; Installation of fiber optic modems, fiber multiplex equipment, fiber patch panels, analog and digital copper
- Security Clearance Level: SECRET
- Required Skills and Abilities: Experience with the operation of heavy equipment as specified in the task order to include: track excavator changeable scoop/hydraulic jackhammer, standard backhoe, bobcat, cable reel truck, and 20K all terrain forklift
- Location: On Customer Site
- US Citizenship Required
