Job Purpose
Identify, assess, monitor, and manage IT risks associated with the use and operation of information technology across the bank.
Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and emerging technology risk considerations.
Policies and Controls
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Support compliance with AML/CTF, KYC, customer due diligence, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
IT Risk Management and Assessment
- Identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor IT risks across the bank in alignment with operational risk frameworks.
- Conduct comprehensive IT risk assessments covering systems, processes, and infrastructure.
- Ensure IT risks are evaluated, documented, and aligned with the defined risk appetite.
Third-Party and Vendor Risk
- Assess and manage risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Lead and support third-party risk management activities and monitor vendor-related controls and mitigation actions.
Emerging Technology Risk
- Identify and assess risks related to AI, cloud computing, digital platforms, and other emerging technologies.
- Track technology-driven risks and their potential impact on the bank's risk profile.
- Establish governance and controls for new technology adoption.
Incident and Issue Management
- Manage IT risk-related escalations and support post-incident reviews.
- Analyze major IT incidents and assess their impact on the overall IT risk landscape.
- Capture lessons learned and translate them into improved controls and processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Promote an IT risk awareness culture across the bank.
- Collaborate with business, technology, and risk teams to support effective risk management.
- Provide guidance and communication on IT risk matters across stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or a risk-related field.
- Relevant certifications are advantageous.
- Five to eight years of experience in IT, preferably in a banking environment.
- Leadership qualities and strong interpersonal communication, people management, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Good judgment, poise, and maturity when interacting with managers, customers, and other functions.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders to build alignment and support IT priorities.
