Role Overview
The Datacenter Manager will oversee operation, maintenance, and optimization of the bank’s datacenter infrastructure.
The role requires extensive technical knowledge of datacenter technologies and responsibility for reliability, performance, and security.
Datacenter Responsibilities
- Manage daily server, storage, and network infrastructure operations.
- Ensure availability, performance, and security of datacenter systems and services.
- Plan, design, and implement infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
- Maintain datacenter scalability and stability as requirements evolve.
Recovery and Security
- Design and implement disaster recovery procedures and backup and recovery processes.
- Enforce security policies and compliance with internal and external regulations, including SAMA and AML/CTF requirements.
- Conduct audits and vulnerability assessments and mitigate identified risks.
Monitoring and Leadership
- Monitor performance, analyze logs and metrics, and resolve system bottlenecks.
- Lead and mentor datacenter engineers and administrators.
- Collaborate with IT operations, security teams, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 5–8 years of datacenter management experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience managing large-scale datacenter environments in a financial institution.
- Strong technical knowledge of servers, storage, and network components.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud datacenter solutions.
- Strong knowledge of datacenter security, access control, and compliance.
- Advanced datacenter technology certifications are a plus.
