Role Overview
The Information Security Incident Response Analyst supports clients during security incidents through technical investigations, digital forensic analysis, containment, and remediation support.
The analyst works within a global DFIR team across varied incident types and contributes to process improvements, client communication, and internal project work.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate incidents through host, disk, memory, network, and cloud forensic analysis.
- Analyze Windows, Linux, and macOS artifacts to reconstruct timelines and determine root cause.
- Support containment and recovery with technical recommendations and clear communication.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for urgent incident response needs.
- Complete tabletop exercises, IR readiness assessments, basic forensic reviews, and environment hardening support.
- Identify client environment gaps and risks and recommend security posture improvements.
- Produce investigation notes, status updates, and final reports.
- Collaborate with global DFIR teams and stay current on threats, attacker techniques, and forensic tools.
Knowledge and Attributes
- Solid understanding of digital forensics fundamentals and host-based analysis across major operating systems.
