What will you do?

• Engage visitors with Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) histories and cultures as it relates to Edmonton within the Indigenous Peoples Experience
• Interpret a period of Edmonton's history to the visiting public using a variety of methods such as: storytelling, demonstrations of traditional skills, engaging visitors in one-on-one conversations, tours, and costumed role play
• Participate in and lead large-scale interpretive programs such as historical talks, dramatic vignettes, and special event activities, as well as research and implement new programs
• Facilitate private activations, tours, and Indigenous Perspective workshops within the Indigenous Peoples Experience
• Assist with high-volume special events
• Assist in the maintenance of artifacts and program supplies
• Collect statistical information
• Lead programs for pre-registered school groups and other groups as required
• Participate in media engagements, public events, and other functions as required

• Completion of grade 12 or equivalent
• Skills or Experience working with the general public and children

• Ability to speak the Cree, Michif, or other Indigenous languages, and/ or knowledge of Cree syllabics
• Experience working in a museum, cultural centre, or historic site
