Position Summary
Deloitte is hiring a Software Engineer II specializing in Ignition within its Enterprise Performance practice.
The role supports industrial technology and manufacturing transformation initiatives involving system integration, application development, data connectivity, visualization, and deployment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement Ignition solutions across manufacturing and industrial operations environments.
- Connect plant data sources using OPC-UA, OPC-DA, Modbus, Profinet, EtherCAT, and MQTT.
- Integrate Ignition with ERP systems, MES, databases, historians, and cloud platforms.
- Develop Vision and Perspective applications, Python functionality, REST APIs, and OEE solutions.
- Create technical documentation and support solution design, troubleshooting, implementation, and deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Computer Applications, Master of Technology, or an equivalent accredited degree.
- 3–6 years of experience in Ignition, industrial automation, manufacturing systems, or industrial software implementation.
- Experience with plant data connectivity, ERP and MES integration, databases, Ignition clients, Vision or Perspective screens, and IoT-based data transport.
